Hey... Your mom says try this chutney.

Homemade, in a home kitchen, by a real person.

Made with local and organic ingredients whenever possible.

What is Chutney?

Chutney (chaatni, or "strongly spiced") is originally an Indian condiment typically made with fruit, spices, and chiles. The addition of sugar and/or vinegar makes it suitable for canning.  In the US, the terms chutney and relish are used interchangeably. Canned chutneys typically have a consistency similar to preserves. They can accompany meat and fish, cheese, or can be used as a marinade for vegetables or grilled meats. Their piquant flavor makes a great addition to mayonnaise in sandwiches or burgers, and also combines well with sour cream or yogurt to make a tasty dip.

How do you use Chutney?

You can use chutney anywhere you'd like to add a flavorful, sweet-tangy kick.  Add a spoonful to your meat or fish serving, put a little bowlful on a charcuterie board, or slather it on a toasted cheddar cheese sandwich or burger.  Put it in a quesadilla!  The possibilities are limited only to your imagination.  Of course, it tastes fantastic with rice and Indian dishes as well!
